Thanksgiving Holiday!

Our little family just returned from a much needed Thanksgiving break. Seth and Jessica were the perfect hosts, sharing their hilarious children while entertaining us, Grandma Christensen, Mom and Dad, Sarah and Tyson, and Brian. It was a great release from the daily grind. We loved being with family and creating new memories.

The week included a splendid Thanksgiving dinner, videogames, basketball, lots of eating, volleyball, playing with kids, etc. We saw the movie Twilight. Brittney has a mondo junior high-type crush on Edward Cullen, of course, and this movie just added more kindling to the fire. Sigh...how can I keep up with a guy that can climb pine trees like a bloomin' monkey?

Actually, we all agreed that the movie represented the book well and was enjoyable. Even Brian and I sat through it with out too much squirming.

This week also included some fun competition. Tyson and I shared the NCAA football award on the PS2, while my dad surprising won the one-on-one basketball game award (sorry Brian). Seth won the get-mad-and-pick-a-fight-with your-brother award (Brian won the fight however--sorry Seth).

Brittney and I performed the song Lucky for the dreaded Thanksgiving program. Brian, who taught himself the guitar over the summer, gave us some much needed accompaniment.

It was a grand ole' time in St. George. We'll throw on some more pictures and possibly some video of the program in the near future. We hope everyone else had an excellent Thanksgiving break!

Vance has had a lot of fun watching the BYU games this year. He is loving being a part of the BYU scene. He is working hard on his Master of Public Administration, but as you can see, he finds time for some fun once in a while. He is anxiously anticipating the BYU vs. UTAH game this Saturday. Go Cougars!

Austin is crawling!!!!

We are so excited, Austin is officially crawling. We are a little nervous however, because Brittney just put up our Christmas tree, and it's only a matter of time before Austin crawls over and tips it over on himself. Austin started getting up on all fours about three weeks ago, but he would just stay there and rock back and forth. He has finally learned to put one hand in front of the other and actually move. We can't believe that he is growing up so fast!

Well, Austin was pretty cute for his first Halloween. We didn't take him trick or treating because we didn't want to look like a couple of loser parents that were using their baby to get free candy for themselves. Instead we went to grandma and grandpa Gardner's house and passed out candy. Later, Vance forced me to watch a scary movie. Austin didn't like being in his costume very much, so we just put it on him long enough to take some pictures and then took it off. Hopefully he will get a little more use out of his costume next year.
